Parenting Under Pressure was born out of my own journey as a stay-at-home mom struggling with postpartum anxiety, depression, and the chaos of raising two kids under two. After stepping away from my career as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and pausing my Master’s program in Behavioral Analysis, I was left feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and exhausted. I loved my children, but I missed my career and the sense of purpose it gave me. That’s when I realized I needed a creative outlet—a space where I could share my parenting journey and connect with others. And so, Parenting Under Pressure was created. This blog has given me a renewed sense of purpose, and now, I’m dedicated to helping other parents navigate the ups and downs of raising kids, managing stress, and finding joy in the madness of parenthood.
At Parenting Under Pressure, I’m committed to providing authentic, real-world advice rooted in my personal experiences and expertise as a parent. I’ve lived through postpartum depression and anxiety, juggled the demands of raising kids while managing my mental health, and understand the deep desire to create a nurturing home for my children. I’ve been there—and I’m here to share what I’ve learned with you. I aim to create a space where parents can find trustworthy, practical advice and connect with a supportive community that understands the highs and lows of raising kids. Your journey matters, and together, we can thrive.
I’m Grace, but around here, you might hear me called “mama,” “wifey,” or even “Grock” (don’t ask). I’m a mom to two wild boys, Maverick and Thatcher, and I’ve been married for six years. My life, much like yours, is full of chaos, tears, and tantrums—but also love, laughter, and those precious moments that make it all worthwhile. Parenting isn’t easy, and sometimes I find myself hiding in the bathroom just to get a break (sound familiar?). There are days when I haven’t showered in a week and my house looks like a disaster zone, but I’ve learned that it’s okay to not have it all figured out. That’s why Parenting Under Pressure exists—to remind you that none of us are perfect, and we’re all doing the best we can. This blog is a judgment-free space where you can be real about the struggles and joys of parenthood, and I hope it helps you feel a little less alone. So whether you're reading this with a cup of cold coffee in hand or hiding from your kids for five minutes of peace, I’m here to say: You’ve got this, and we’re all in it together.
